FAB - The Airport Food & Beverage Conference and Awards 2011
The inaugural event was hosted on 23-25 January 2011 by Manchester Airport at the unique Concorde Conference Centre – the most iconic airport Conference facility in the world.
Delegates listened to international experts on travel-related food & beverage while sitting in the shadow of British Airways’ flagship Concorde, still one of the great symbols of the global aviation industry.
Designed to encourage excellence in the burgeoning airport food & beverage sector and conducted during a glittering Gala dinner, The Moodie Report FAB Awards culminated in one airport receiving The World’s Best Airport Food & Beverage Offer accolade.
The FAB Conference, which will be held annually, seeks to promote excellence in the consumer offer; discuss key industry themes and challenges and ways to grow the business for all stakeholders. The FAB Awards will have total integrity and sound judging methodology in order to recognise best and most innovative practice across a range of categories and act as an annual beacon of quality.
Full details of the 2011 FAB Awards, together with nomination forms, are available via the Food & Beverage page at www.TheMoodieReport.com.

Manchester Airport Managing Director Andrew Harrison said: “We are delighted to be hosting the world’s first-ever dedicated airport food & beverage event here in Manchester. With the focus on enhancing customer satisfaction, we continue to try to put the stereotypes of airport food to rest as it’s a vital part of an airport’s business and makes a huge difference to the traveller’s journey.”
